Our Yard

One of the real features of our Dural Centre is the outdoor playspace.

Drawing from extensive research we have realised that we can do much better for our children than the typical generic, synthetic playground that we have become used to seeing in Early Childhood environments. At Fit Kidz Dural we have a huge play area (over one acre), and have gone all out to create a dynamic and engaging outdoor space that will provide our children with an incredibly rich "natural" environment in which to play and learn.

Apart from the major “feature elements” like the bike track, the farmyard with huge growing beds, the water play, the jumping pillow in the massive sand-pit, the basket-swing, wet/dry creek, and the outdoor “tee-pee” (among so many other things!), there are lots of live friends for the children to love and look after, including chickens, a cow, fish and turtles! We have used lots of natural stone and timbers (as well as real grass!) to emphasise the importance of nature and natural elements in the learning and lives of children.
