Our Centre Director - Miss Ashley

From the day I started preschool myself I knew I wanted to work with children.  I would always tell my Mum and Dad, “I want to be a preschool teacher!”  As soon as I left school I started studying towards that goal.

I began my journey with the Fit Kidz family back in early 2007, starting in the Cheeky Monkeys room at Vineyard as a Room Assistant.  The following year, after I gained my Diploma of Children’s Services, I was able to take a Team Leader job in the Babies room.  It was so rewarding to see those little ones laugh and grow.  Nothing beats walking into a room where you are welcomed with gorgeous smiling faces of the children in your care.  The warmth my job brings to my life is remarkable.

I have loved almost every minute of my career so far.  I believe that every child is unique in their own special way and my main priority is to ensure that their individual needs are met, but the other thing to ALWAYS remember is to have FUN FUN FUN!!

Please be assured that I know how important these early years are for your children, and I also know that for many parents it can be an overwhelming time as they entrust us, almost as strangers, with their pride and joy.  There can be a flood of emotions, and if this is you, I want to offer assurance, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on if ever needed.  I always have a huge box of tissues in my office!

Entering my sixth year with Fit Kidz brings me great satisfaction and I love that I am able to offer my experiences and knowledge to the Turramurra Centre as Director.   I am excited that my new role is now an extension to care for and nurture our little ones, guide the wonderful staff we have, as well as offer guidance and assistance to the families of the children in our care.  I am a very easy going approachable person, so please don’t hesitate to come and have a chat or discuss any questions you may have.

I'm very proud to be leading this team at Turramura, it's a warm and friendly Centre that has been built with love.  We look forward to you visiting us and becoming part of the Fit Kidz family.
