Our Team Leader - Leaping Leopards

Hello my name is Kathryn

I am excited to have joined the Fit Kidz team in the Leaping Leopards room this year. I am looking forward to getting to know all of our families, and working together to teach your children and help to prepare them for their transition to school. I am very impressed with the Fit Kidz resources and program, and enjoy teaching the school readiness curriculum in particular.

I have a Diploma in Children’s Services and am currently undertaking my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) via correspondence through Open Universities Australia. I have been in the industry for over 12 years and am married with two young boys of my own.

I believe each child is unique with different interests, backgrounds, and developmental stages. I want to ensure all children are given choices, responsibilities, and opportunities to initiate their own learning. As families also play such a large role in children's learning I hope to work closely and openly with you. I like to think that I am very approachable, so please feel free to speak to me any time.
